<p>Pemetaan partisipatif adalah satu metode pemetaan yang menempatkan masyarakat sebagai pelaku pemetaan wilayahnya sekaligus juga akan menjadi penentu perencanaan pengembangan wilayah mereka sendiri. Pemetaan secara partisipatif dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan percaya diri masyarakat dalam mengidentifikasi serta menganalisa situasinya, baik potensi maupun permasalahannya. Ini sangat berbeda dengan pendekatan &#8216;top-down&#8217; yang sering dipakai oleh lembaga-lembaga yang mengumpulkan informasi untuk kelancaran program mereka. Dalam program begitu, lembaga menentukan apa a<a href="http://karstaceh.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/step3.jpg"></a>kan dikerjakan dalam suatu wilayah.</p>

Metode yang paling banyak dipergunakan adalah Frog Rig System. Adapun alat-alat yang digunakan dalam metode ini antara lain:</span></span></p>

Dipasang di pinggang dan pangkal paha. Jenis-jenisnya adalah: bucklet, avantee, croll, rapid, dan fractio.</span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Chest ascender, digunakan untuk memanjat (menaiki) lintasan atau tali dipasang di dada. Dihubungkan ke Delta MR oleh Oval MR. </span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Hand ascender, digunakan untuk memanjat (menaiki) lintasan atau tali di tangan. Di bagian bawah dipasang descender, tempat digantungkannya foot loop dan cows tail.</span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Descender,digunakan untuk menuruni tali. Ada beberapa jenis descender: Capstand (ada dua macam: simple stop dan auto stop), whaletale, raple rack (ada dua macam: close rack dan open rack), figure of eight, dan beberapa jenis lagi yang prinsip kerjanya sama dengan figure of eight.</span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Mailon rapid, ada dua macam Mailon Rapid (MR), yaitu: Oval MR untuk mengaitkan Chest Ascender kepada Delta MR. Delta MR digunakan untuk mengkaitkan dua loop seat harness dan tempat mengkaitkan alat lain seperti descender berikut karabiner friksinya dan cowstail. </span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Foot loop, dicantolkan ke karabiner yang terhubung ke hand ascender. Berfungsi sebagai pijakan kaki. Hal ini sangat mengurangi kelelahan pada waktu ascending di pitch-pitch yang panjang </span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Cows tail, memiliki dua buah ekor. Satu terkait di hand ascender, dan satu lagi bebas, digunakan untuk pengaman saat melewati lintasan-lintasan </span></span></li>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;"><span style="mso-ansi-language: IT;" lang="IT"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Chest harness, untuk melekatkan chest ascender agar lebih merapat ke dada. Sehingga memudahkan gerakan sewaktu ascending normal, atau pada saat melewati sambungan tali. Chest harness lebih baik jika dapat diatur panjang pendeknya (adjustable), sehingga memudahkan pengoperasian, terutama apabila terjadi kasus dimana chest ascender terkunci di sambungan atau simpul, atau pada saat rescue.</span></span></span></li>
